Get Paid to Watch Bug Movies

The line from the 1997 film Starship Troopers rings true for many: “The only good bug is a dead bug!” While we don’t entirely agree with that sentiment (as insects are a vital part of the Earth’s ecosystem), we get where they’re coming from. Seeing a pest scurry across your living room is less than ideal. However, a movie about bugs? Maybe not so bad! Insects and arachnids have been commonplace in films for decades.

We’re looking for someone who is willing to watch 10 of these movies and collect a whole lot of data on them. If that sounds like it could be you, keep reading to see exactly what we’re looking for in an ideal candidate and more about the task that could earn you $1,500.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a film enthusiast who can watch 10 bug-related movies in a short amount of time. In addition to watching the movies, you’ll be asked to take notes and track specific details in each film.

• The ability and availability to binge-watch 10 movies in a short amount of time.

Additionally, applicants must be 18 years or older and a US citizen or permanent resident to apply.

What You’ll Need to Do

We’ve narrowed the bug-related movies to this list of 10 that you’ll be asked to binge-watch over one week’s time:

• A Bug’s Life
• Antz
• James and the Giant Peach
• Bee Movie
• Eight-Legged Freaks
• Arachnophobia
• Them!
• Ant-Man
• The Fly
• Starship Troopers

You’ll receive a separate worksheet to complete for each movie as you watch. All movies will need to be watched and all worksheets will need to be completed byMarch 31, 2021.

What You’ll Get

In addition to the $1,500 payment, we’ll reimburse you for any movies you have to purchase (on Amazon Prime) and also provide a credit up to $50 for snacks for optimal binge-watching enjoyment. Sour gummy worms are encouraged.
